2010-2011 League Timetable

Key Dates to Remember:

Monday August 9th: SCHOOL BEGINS for Forysth and Gwinnett (Cobb and Cherokee started earlier!) FULTON schools begin August 23!!!!

Thursday, September 2 : Mandatory Coaches Meeting 7:30PM, go to the REMINDERS and ANNOUNCEMENTS button for complete details. Location: The Cooler, 10800 Davis Drive, Alpharetta GA 30004, party room to the right as you enter, passed the concession stand.

Saturday, October 2 : Roster Exception Deadline.
All requests for roster exceptions requiring board approval must be submitted by this date. Please read the roster requirements in the League Rules carefully. If you have questions about player eligibility, contact a board member. See names and address in board member section.

Saturday, October 9 : Roster Submission Deadline.
All online registration for coaches and players must be completed by this date. Online registration will be locked effective TBA. Team payment must be recieved, via mail, in full per instructions on the online coach/team registration. All coaches must have verified background screens. All players and coaches must have current AAU numbers. Email questions regarding the online registration process to Bob Dannenbaum, bdbaum@comcast.net.

There is no charge to players and coaches for registering online.

Friday - Sunday, October 15-17: Preseason Round Robin Tournament.
This event will offer a minimum of three tournament style practice games to all registered teams to help them assess their strengths prior to the start of the regular season. Costs are included in the league fees. Participation by all teams is required. All games for the preseason tournament will be at SGAA. Friday games may not be necessary, but will be local teams if need be.

Wednesday, October 27 or sooner: League schedule published.
This is a 14 game season followed by a post season, double elimination, tournament.

Regular season games will be played on weekends only. Schedule exceptions will only apply to school related conflicts such as class trips and week long holiday breaks. Player availability issues due to conflicts with other hockey teams, sports, or travel tournaments will not be considered. Please remember this when forming your teams.

TBA: Regular season opener for all teams.
There will be no games scheduled over the Thanksgiving holiday, however games will be schedule on November 20-21. There will be no games schedule over the THREE weekends around the Winter Holidays. The private schools teams will not have games during their Spring Break, which is TBA. All teams will be subject to playing games on all other weekends, including Election Day, MLK Day and the Presidents holiday. There will also be no games scheduled over the Easter weekend, should that fall in the season.

Early February: All Star Games for all divisions (Regular season games will be played this weekend as well).

Saturday - Sunday, Late February: Last regular season games.

Late February: AARHO Tournament at SGAA Rinks.

This has always been a ton of fun for all teams. The tournament is a separate event from the regular season and is not a playoff. Some teams are moved up or down a division to provide better tournament parity. A team's end of season divisional rank will not be their tournament seeding.

Remember, player eligibility requires each player plays in at least 7 regular season games. More details TBA.
